Counter Strike 1.6 is the elemental and classic server. Although it is classic, 200000 people play counter strike servers right now. That number is only counting official servers. There are some counter strike source tips for you to have a better playing:
1. Knife. The knife has two different attacks, primary attack and secondary attack. The Primary attack is fast but weak. In the other hand, the secondary attack is slow but strong. For beginner it’s better to use the upper body with the fast move.
2. Pistols. It can save your live when your ammunition is empty. There are some tips for pistols : USP Tactical, the counter-terrorist default pistols that has a fast rate of fire; Glock, the default counter-terrorist pistol that packs less punch than its counter-terrorist counterpart and its rate of fire is slower, it has a 3-round burst alternate fire mode which is particularly powerful to be fired into the head; Desert Eagle, that packs quite a punch than the regular pistol, it also along with the USP Tactical is usually the sidearm of choice for most CSers, especially snipers.
